General Terms and Conditions

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all orders placed via the online shop of Raum & Duft Konzept AG (“we”). For consultations, scent concepts, bespoke scent development and rental and service contracts with businesses, the respective quotation or contract also applies; these take precedence over the GTC.

2. Offer and conclusion of contract

The presentation of products in the shop does not constitute a binding offer. By submitting your order, you make a binding offer. The contract is concluded as soon as we confirm your order by email. We may decline orders without giving reasons, for example if an item is no longer available; in that case, we will promptly refund any amounts already paid.

3. Prices

All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF) and include statutory VAT. The price applicable at the time of the order is decisive. Shipping is free for orders of CHF 250 or more; below that amount, the flat shipping fee shown in the cart is charged.

4. Payment

Payment is made by credit and debit card or TWINT via an external payment service provider. The amount is charged when the order is completed. Different payment terms may be agreed for businesses in the quotation.

5. Delivery

We deliver within Switzerland, to Liechtenstein and to selected other countries. Within Switzerland, delivery normally takes 3–5 working days from receipt of payment; shipping costs are shown during checkout. Deliveries abroad may incur customs duties and import charges, which are borne by the buyer. Stated delivery times are guidelines only. We will inform you of any delays without delay; in the event of a significant delay, you may withdraw from the contract. Benefit and risk pass to you upon handover of the goods.

6. Returns

You may return unused items in their original packaging within 14 days of receipt. Opened fragrance oils, individually developed or filled scents and devices showing signs of use are excluded. You will find the details under Shipping & returns.

7. Scent subscription

With the scent subscription, we deliver the chosen fragrance oil or the scent of the season at the agreed interval. The subscription price (list price less the subscription discount) is charged to the stored payment method before each delivery; shipping is free. The subscription has no minimum term and can be paused, changed or cancelled at any time before the next delivery. We will notify you of any price changes before the next delivery.

8. Warranty

Please inspect the goods upon receipt and report any obvious defects within 7 days. We provide warranty for defects in accordance with the statutory provisions: at our discretion, we will repair or replace the goods; if this is not possible, we will refund the purchase price. The warranty period is two years for private customers and one year for businesses, from the date of delivery. Damage caused by improper use, unsuitable fragrance oils, lack of cleaning or normal wear and tear is excluded.

9. Notes on use

Our fragrance oils are intended exclusively for ambient scenting with suitable devices. They must not be applied to the skin or ingested and must be kept out of the reach of children and pets. Please observe the safety information on the packaging and the device’s operating instructions. Room size information is a guideline only; the effect depends on the room, ventilation and settings.

10. Liability

We are liable for damage caused by us intentionally or through gross negligence. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law, in particular for indirect and consequential damage. Liability under the Swiss Product Liability Act (PrHG) remains reserved.

12. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The place of jurisdiction is Baden. For consumers, the mandatory statutory places of jurisdiction apply.

13. Amendments

We may amend these GTC at any time. The version published on this page at the time of the order applies.
