How long does one fill last?
At medium intensity and around eight hours of operation a day, 300 ml of fragrance oil lasts about two to four months in a living space. Exactly how long depends on the diffuser, the intensity setting and the running times. With your diffuser’s timer, it only releases scent when you are at home – which saves fragrance oil.
How loud is the diffuser?
Very quiet. Our scent diffusers use cold-air nebulisation: a fine stream of air disperses the fragrance oil – without heat and without water. Depending on the model, the operating noise is around 30 to 35 decibels, about as quiet as a whisper. For the bedroom, we recommend running the diffuser during the day.
What size do I need?
What matters is the room volume: floor area × ceiling height, for example 30 m² × 2.5 m = 75 m³. Each diffuser lists its recommended room size in m³. Choose a diffuser whose rating covers your room volume – our room calculator on this page will help.
Will the scent be too strong?
Not if it is set correctly. The intensity can be adjusted on every diffuser. Start on a low setting: a good room scent is perceived, but not noticed. After a few days your nose gets used to the scent – that is normal and no sign that it is fading.
Can I try scents first?
Yes. Put together 6 scent samples of 2 ml each for CHF 19. We credit the amount against your first purchase of a fragrance oil or diffuser.
Can I change the scent?
Yes, at any time. Swap the bottle and you’re done. To keep two scents from mixing, let the diffuser run empty briefly before changing. Many customers change with the seasons – fresh in summer, warmer in winter.
What about children, pets and sensitive people?
Our fragrance oils are IFRA-compliant, use an alcohol-free carrier and are released into the air in finely measured doses. For sensitive people or pets, choose a low intensity, air the room regularly and place the diffuser out of reach. Do not apply fragrance oils to the skin or ingest them – skin contact can cause allergic reactions. If you have allergies or are unsure, please ask your doctor or vet. We are happy to send you the safety data sheets on request.
How do I look after the diffuser?
Cold-air nebulisers need little maintenance. Wipe the housing occasionally and clean the diffuser when changing scents, as described in the instructions. Only use fragrance oils intended for scent diffusers – other oils can clog the nozzle.
